New Federal Programs Supervisor for White County Schools
White County Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Brittany King as the district’s new Federal Programs Supervisor for the upcoming school year. Ms. King is an educator with 14 years of experience who has been a valued member of the White County Schools team for the past nine years. She began her education career teaching Spanish at Prescott South Middle School before shifting to teach Spanish I, II, III, English, and History at F.C. Boyd Christian School in Warren County. Ms. King joined White County Schools to teach 7th-grade social studies and coach volleyball in 2017, later advancing to her most recent role as ESL teacher and coordinator.
Ms. King will fill the vacancy left by Mrs. Shelia Felton, who recently announced her upcoming retirement. Mrs. Felton has served White County Schools in many capacities, starting as a substitute then as an educational assistant, classroom teacher, and principal of Central View Elementary before serving as Federal Programs Supervisor. Her dedication has been instrumental in securing vital resources for students and educators throughout the county. We thank Mrs. Felton for her years of dedicated service and wish her a very happy and well-deserved retirement.
In her new role, Ms. King will oversee the administration of federal funds and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations to support the district's mission of educational excellence.
